Hi, I am having a problem with my vents not working right.
The control unit (digital) just blinks at me for both
the head/feet selection and hot and cold.

I already replaced the control unit 2 times and that did not fix the problem.
Someone told me it could be the actuator motors
but i just tried one from a junk yard and it didn't change
but i have no idea if it was any good or not.
I didn't want to spend 88 bucks for a new one at the dealership for a blind check.

When i select the hot/cold after the selector gets to a position that i select
the motor still runs until it reaches full open or cold.

Any ideas? i don't feel like pulling my whole dash and tracing every wire individually!
    Thanks

Would anyone happen to have a wiring diagram for the HVAC system?
I have one of those Haynes manuals but the wiring diagram in that
does not correspond to the actual wire colors in the truck.

I have the original wiring manual for an '89 GMC, should be the same.

When it does get posted, be sure to only use it as a guide.
I have looked at hundreds of drawings and have seen very few
that are correct. My favorite is when the publisher puts out
a correction that changes the part that was not wrong. :(
