I changed the timing belt and cannot get it in time. The timing gear has 4 numbers and arrows on it and a "o". I put the "o" at TDC (top dead center) and there was no compression. I played with it and put each number on TDC and I get more compression but it wont run. HELP!

Oh yeah it has a brand new carberator.

timing, ignition, and vacume...... i would check from the coil to the plugs, making sure everything is in the right place. most likely though, it's just not lining up right.... I went through the same thing, my truck sat for months because of it.... it's nice having the non interferance motor. mine ended up being 180 out....
