use the gm part # it has special additives so you don't smell the oil when it gets warm

These are the ONLY lubricants recommended for the NV4500:
    • 75W-90 Castrol Syntorque Synthetic
    • Mopar Manual Transmission Lubricant (PN 4637579)
    • GM Transmission oil (PN 12346191)
    • NOTE: Syntorque is NOT the same as Castrol Syntech
This is for the nv4500 5 speed. If it's a new venture, it will have a tag on the side telling correct fluid. If you do not use the correct fluid, it WILL result in failure as these have a paper type coating on the synchros. If it is a nv3500 ,HM-290/5LM60 5-speed manual transmission - Synchromesh transmission fluid P/N 12345349

This is the correct info right here. NO, Not clutch fluid. For clutch slave and master cylinder fluid, I do believe you can use Dot 3 brake fluid. But I didn't tell you that.
