Question Brake light probs

1982 F150 stepside.Have it down to the wiring. The previous owner liked to go around probs instead of fixing them, so I have pulled lots of rigging out and am repairing existing wiring. Got all of it working except brake lights. Power coming out of the brake light switch properly (light green), Wire from the lights intact to the fire wall (purple). Can't tell where the purple and the light green meet. My diagram shows the output fom the switch going to the harness on the steering column, but not how it gets to the stop lamps. Any ideas???
Thanks

you should have a wire quick connector somewhere down the line. just have to run it down til you can find it. most of the time, they are mounted there on the firewall.

I don't know if it is any help but it should run through the turn signal switch.

The stop lamp and turn lamp use the same element in a dual element bulb (same circut). You should have 1157 bulbs back there. They might of just misprinted it.
