I wonder if it will end up being a overall loss, or if they plan on writing in there that it is non transferable if the car is sold

probably be non transferable. I guess they just need to do something to get numbers up since daimler sold them.

i doubt it will be there long. most warrenties dont cover as much as they say they do. and if you mod ur car, there is no more warrantie.

Not true. They have to be able to prove the "mod" is what caused the damage. If they cannot then they have to warranty it.

we talked about this in one of my jeep forums the other day. and i think we said it is transferable (but with a fee) not positive. i'll check and repost later

the commercials say its non transferable and its not available with srt, sprinter, diesel, ram chassis cab, and other commercial vehicles.

yeah cause those are vehicles people are likely to beat the pi$$ out of. i know all major domestic companies are swaying in this direction to boost all the sales that theyre losing to the japanese companies whose cars "last forever" and come w/ a 150K warranty. as far as the warranty voiding goes, at least with mercedes, if anyone besides a certified M-B tech does even an oil change, it voids the warranty.
