| 79 datsun Hey I was curious to get some info on what I should do with my 1979 Datsun 620 series p/u. It's a two wheel drive 4 speed. the engine is messed up because I blew a head gasket a long time ago, and we tried to replace it but the thing doesn't want to run, so it sits. I really want to fix it up because I drove it in high school and it got really good gas mileage, not to mention ti was a ton of fun to drive. Any ideas? |

| yup that would be the best choice. chances are, you could get the head decked and a new head gasket would do the trick. i can't remeber the engine sizes but that truck came with 2 different engines. one had 2 plugs per cylinder (the best of the 2) and the other had the standard 1 plug per hole. both engines were very good. i have a 79 4x4 with the 2 plugger, very strong for a 4 cyl. of course, nothing left of the body, i use it for hunting (also have a lada niva hey man, don't diss tha 'niva |
