keeps blowing seal

I have a 1995 Nissan P/U. I have changed the main seal where converter is 2 times. Something is causing pressure to build up and blows this seal out. Any advice. I am sure that the seal is put on correctly. This will make the 3rd time I have changed the seal in a year.

Is it leaking engine oil, or transmission fluid? The descrption is a little cloudy. You mentioned the converter, and many transmission leaks are due to a blocked vent in the transmission.
Since you have replaced the seal and you continie to leak fluid, you may have a problem with the sealing surface.
Would like to know a little ore about your application. Should be easy to resolve.
Many times if pressure is allowed to build up, oil simply passes by the seal, and does not really "blow out" the seal. I think that term is used a little too often. Very rare to actually have a seal blow out.
