03Chevy,
What version were you looking at? The HD or the SE model? I know that the SE models are usually much cheaper than the HD's. The SE's can still haul up to 400 lbs on top, too. Let me know what you were looking at.

1500 still aint too bad of a cost i dont think. for its capability. but how top heavy does it make your truck?

Quite a bit more than a trailer ever would, and you can use the trailer for more than one use.
$1500.00 bucks sure could buy a decent trailer that could haul more than the bed of a truck ever could. Gotta add that this concept does little to help us guys with gooseneck trailers or 5'ers. Lifted trucks are a pain with this style cover, since it becomes very difficult to lift the top, and once you get it up, it becomes to difficult to reach it again to lower it. Not to mention that ramps get pretty steep trying to ride a bike up to the top when the truck is on 40 inch tires. Only way to overcome that is get longer ramps, and then you are stuck with having to carry ramps.
Decent enough concept, but does not appear to practical for me.

Think these guys posting are affiliated with the company, I am seeing these exact posts popping up on many sites.
