Southern Motorsports Fest

We would like to invite everyone on the forum to the Southern Motorsports Fest on May 16th, 17th & 18th, 2008 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Eustis, Florida. It's a weekend full of motorsports activities you won't want to miss.

Friday night starts off with the ever-(wildly)popular Southern Monster Truck Showdown with wheelie contests, racing and freestyle contests. Included in the monster truck show are the Harley sled pulls and a 4-cylinder demolition derby to top it off!

Saturday, gates open at 9 am with registration for all the day's events and things get kicked off right after that! Look forward to a full day and evening of excitement, with your admission (or entry into 1 or more contests) allowing you to see all day and all night's events! Enter a contest or just come to watch! Throughout the afternoon we'll have a Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show, truck tug-o-wars, burnout contest, stereo sound competition, bikini contest and more to be announced! The second performance of the massive monster trucks will follow at 8:00 pm. Everyone in attendance can meet the monster truck drivers at the pit party from 6:30 to 7:30, at no charge!!

Sunday is Family Day, with all children age 4-12 admitted for only $1.00 with a paying adult. (Limit 2 children per adult). Gates open at Noon, followed by the monster truck pit party from 12:30 to 1:30 and the final performance of the weekend kicking off at 2 pm.

With a full range of food vendors, we have everything from "fair food" to BBQ dinners and everything in between. Enjoy ice cream, funnel cakes and more to satisfy your sweet tooth. Then wash it all down with the beverages of our sponsors, Coca-Cola and Budweiser!! (Note: On Sunday, no beer will be available, this is the time for the kiddies!)

The Lake County Fairgrounds is located just North of downtown Eustis. Take Highway 19 North through town to Highway 452. Take a left on 452 and follow approx. 1/2 mile to the next stop light. The fairgrounds is through the light on the right.

Admission is $15 for adults and teenagers; $12 for children age 4-12 and free for the little ones 3 & under. Advance discounted tickets will be available at several locations around Lake County from April 15th to May 15th for $2 less per ticket. This event will sell out on Saturday, for sure, as it has every year in the past, so get those advance tickets so you don't miss it! Or, better yet, enter your vehicle in one of the competitions and the driver is admitted FREE!
