has anyone tried to....
sqeeze 305's under a 2005 GMC 1500 w/ stock suspension??i want 305/70-17 on my GMC i could probably go to discount tire and see if they'll put them on just to check but i'm at work in a diff town....anyways...just seein if any one here has tried it or is a tire guy...thanks in advance...

305/60/17's will fit much better with out rubbing. A little shorter then what you were after, but stock suspension even on a 1500 and trying to squeeze larger then 33" tires is really tight. But i think this size will fit better for ya... they are closer to 31's, but still larger then the stock size.

with the gynormous wheel weels of the new chevys (2008's) you could probably put 40's in the rear if you wanted to. lol
you'll still be limited to 33's in the front with out wheel spacers or some type of lift.
