I use 3" wheel spacers on my rig in the front, and 1.5" spacers in the rear. My rig has a very short wheelbase and even with the wheel spacers, the wheels do not stick out beyond the fenders. Having a short wheelbase, being too tall, and being too narrow are all ingredients for disaster, so I got the spacers to assist me with minimizing the risk for disaster. The more ground the vehicle can cover (width wise or lengthwise) is usually the better - that is, if it's a short/narrow vehicle, and if it's very tall.

ETA: I guess they do stick out a little bit.... My mistake, sorry for the misunderstanding - still don't stick out enough though!

I've driven it on the street and the trail with them and have had zero problems. I have heard horror stories about spacers, but if you do it right and tighten them down once in awhile, you should be fine.

do you have pics of your truck? Amigo right? or am I thinking of someone else? I would be interested to see what it looks like with 3" spacers.... especially for a little truck like that.

Oh yeah, i saw that one, a long time ago! LOL... it doesn't look disjointed for sure. I was worried it would not look right. But all said and done, I will probably not use them, But it is nice to know some people have used them.

i learned about wheel spaces the hard way..my 71 camaro from yrs ago had them on the front...needless to say had to have new studs put on one side or the other about once a year..reckon that is what happens when you drive them all the time......one time was going down the road and the front end felt like it was wobbling..i get out and check the car just to find that one side only have 2 lug nuts on it and there were already being cut into...after that car i learned that if i wanted wheels to make sure that spacers were not needed

Weren't you the one who suggested putting spacers in the rear of your blazer? I think you said you wanted to because your front wheels stuck out further.... hmmmm

Spacers are beneficial for off road vehicles. I do not recommend them on a car anyway - that's what backspacing is for
