Yes unfortunately three people were hurt this weekend from a vehicle roll over. Rookie drivers get a little out of hand, and do not realize the potential dangers when off road.
I hate seeing that darn helicopter landing in our area. It always means that someone was hurt real bad.
One of the "Top Truck Challenge" competitors (green Willys) was involved in a head on collision as well. Again another rookie driver that was out of control. This driver struck the green willys and did some real damage.
Will all of these trucks get fixed? Yes,, it will be like magic! Busted trucks go in one end of the shop, and trucks that appear to be brand new come out of the other end!
We will be ready for another weekend.

The great pumkin is gonna be a decent truck. It used to be a tired old F100 truck 2wd of course, and has been converted to a 1 ton 4wd with a nice sized 557 CI BBF. She has a 521 between the frame rails now, but this is a temp engine. I like to use my smaller engines to "shake" the trucks down, and work out the suspension bugs.
I typically use a mild 460, but the 460 just did not have the beans to accomplish what I was after.

Now as far as the accidents, it is ashamed that folks get hurt, and I feel very bad for them. It is most unfortunate that people have to get injured in order for others to learn. Terrible that this is not as isolated as it should be. These occurances happen far too often, and this is too, too bad.

is that all that you run is the BBFs or do you have several different blocks?? i know you own more than just that truck and am wondering what you have in those. also, i was looking at the cleaned up front end in on of those pics and was reminded about some front springs i seen a couple of months ago. have you ever used inverted leaf springs?? are they an improvement from standard arch leafs??

Looks like fun my son thought that because it's 4X4 they should take a beating I told him no 4X4 can break and there not made to be jumping hills with factory parts he said you should have seen what I did with your Burb that burned me up I wouldn't even push it to the max since it was an 87 with all factory parts, he once called me that he and a friend had gotten it stuck at like 4:00 a.m. while I was asleep now he said on the phone can you come and get me out im stuck I said in what your RX7 no the Burb and the back tires are in the air I told him boy you get it out your self well it turned out that a cop busted them on private property and they gave him a big ticket I see it you live and learn but it still up-sets me for him taking it out and trashing it while I was sleeping he must have got into some bad stuff because the insulation on the hood was all caked with mud and it started to hang down bad that I had to remove some of it and on the paasenger side he must have hit a tree because from the front door to the rear quarter panel it was bashed in but again my wife covered for him and said it was her that hit a pole while she was driving it and hadn't told me I barley drove it that's why I sold it. One day it's going to bite him in the rearend and im again going to say I told you so tell your mom to get you out of jail or trouble I already did my part he's 22 years old and thinks that dad's a$$ hole.

ah memories when i was 22... oh wait that was jsut last year... i never took out my parents vehicles... i didnt want to be killed by them.. i had a 87 cavilier that i parked down the street when i was 14 that i usta beat around in. it was a 5 speed and the shifter link broke when i was like 100 miles from home... that was a great phone call to dad.. but he saved my *** from mom and told her i was with my friends mom when her car broke down... i will never repay him enough for that day

when i was 18, i seized a main bearing in a 318. instead of telling daddy, i had it towed to a friends garage and put in a new engine before he found out. someone told him before i got done with it but he took it easy on me that time. i guess because i tried to fix my mistake.

My ford trucks run big block ford engines. 385 series that started life as a 460.
Big bores and stroker cranks provide me with big cubic inches.
I have a couple 460's a 521, and a new 557 BBF.
I also have a couple 454's a 496, and a 571 BBC. I like the chevy engines, but the fords make some pretty mean power.
Excuse me, not all of my fords have ford power. There is a 6.0L LS engine in one of the fords. This was installed simply because we wondered if it would fit, and how it would work.
Probably should have installed it in a chevy truck, but I did not have one at the time.
Had a few adult beverages with some buddies, and two days later we were driving it. Stayed in there, and I have never pulled it out.
