| the newer ones are actually in the intake or head because they are tied to the ecm, the older ones were for guages and some for earlier versions of polution control

| i figured it out. i just bought a new thermostat housing with a 1/2 water outlet. Im plugging the stripped fitting in my block and just running the gauge off of the new thermostat housing. I'll get a better water temp. reading anyways with it on the housing |
