Royal Purple question???

has anyone used Royal Purple? I want to do ATF and rear end oil in my 02 Z71. again does anyone have this same truck (or close to) and done this? What gains can expect from Royal purple?

I'm sure it would be good for it but the problem is getting all the fluid out of the trans not unless your convertor has a plug on it.

Marginal at best. Any oil that will give you a big increase in fuel economy will not be able to properly protect the engine. A number of people claim fuel eceonomy increase but in my experience and research it is psychosomatic. Most people after changing to a new oil (or air filter, or spark plug, etc...) drive differently and that is what gives them the fuel economy increase. The reason I use Royal purple is protection. It just rules.

The only thing you have to remember is that once you go synthetic you cant go back. and the royal purple is kinda expensive, but i have only heard good things about it. I work at a dealership and there a lot of people who swear by it

Sorry, that is just not true. You can swap back and forth. They are all interchangeable. And you get what you pay for.
