MAybe not fall off of the earth, but it probably would leave a mark or two. As far as wearing brown pants, well, there are a few moments that can make one nervous, but this is very slow speed stuff, and as long as one can keep some concentration, all works out well. The rear shocks. No they are not inverted, nor are they facing opposite directions. Pretty good eye, though. The pass side shock is simply compressed all of the way and the shaft is not exposed. In an attempt to gain as much travel as possible, I have to locate my shock mounts where they dont become a limiting factor. Often times the shocks cant extend far enough, and they can bottom out before the spring has reached its limit. In this case, I dont have any more room in the fender for additional compression, so there is not a need to have any shaft exposed. This maximizes extension. Hope I explained that well. Framee flex. Yes, on this day the frame was tasked. I have added crossmembers to limit frame twist, but a ladder style frame, especially one this long is difficult to make rigid. Yes, it does flex, but not as much as it used to when it was stock. However, dont let the bumper fool, you. This bumper is bent up from hitting rocks. See, I am not afraid to bend sheetmetal, and if I can get a tire on something, there is a good chance that I can climb it. The bumper is terribly scraped up from hitting it on stuff that I am trying to go over. The rear is just as bad, but it stays reasonable straight. My front fenders are crushed pretty bad as well. When the bumper folds back, it hits the grille suround, and pushes the fenders back. This makes the centers of the fenders bow out, and usually takes out the side marker lights, as well as the front turn indicators. I have many spares. COuple of guys laughed at me when I gatherd a couple of good sized rocks, and was beating the fenders with the rocks in an attempt to perform some roadside body work. Thanks again for the replies, and questions guys. 75

I noticed that too that truck is in SUPER good condition and it's rust free im a GM man but that Ford is sweet looking. I say I would have to be spotting you because I would be able to handle being in the truck im just being truthful not even brown pants would help me I think I would have to have on some waders.

It is rust free. Guess that is yet another advantage for my area. We just dont see much rust here is So Ca. This truck may actually sees a realpaint job in the future. Currently it was only painted with rustoleum satey red. Yup, about 60 bucks worth of materials and such and it was painted outdoors. Heak, I have another project like this one, and I a about to scrap a pefect cab from it. Because these trucks are really not all that popular, parts are a dime a dozen. Almost ashamed that I know one day these parts will be difficult to find, and I took part in throwing usable stuff away.

| If you were closer I would gladly take that cab off your hands. At least post it for sale or give away. I agree, I hate seeing this stuff s******* for much the same reasons.

Mud is not easy to find out here right now. Some of the spots we play in are dry as a bone. These trails are really all we have left for the moment. I like rocks too, it is just not every day that I take a mud truck to the rocks, lol. Kind of fun actually. We are planning an even bigger trip to a very well know rock garden. Rocks are bigger and better than this place. We will see what happens. As far as the cab, I did just place an add for it. I really hate to see it crushed.

bone dry you say?? come make a trip out here. ill put you up for a few nights. when i say that we are drowning, i mean that in every literal terms you can think of. i have 2 inches of standing water covering my yard. there is a puddle in front of the house that covers the entire road. angelina river is just shy of coming over the 59 bridge which has not happened in a long, long time. besides, i got a hole down here at the river bottom that i want to see you ford walk through because we have found very few people that can get through it.

yeah, I hate so see good stuff go to the junk yard. How about a craigslist ad 75? Put a $50 on it, and they come and get it. The worse that can happen you give it to them and it get used by someone and you don't ahve to haul it off.
