| Nope its a cheap steel factory wheel. I'll get it off when it important enough to be off. I just gave up that day cuz I was working on 3 other vehicles and I did not want to let one wheel slow up progress. Yep, Scoot, I learned the hard way too. It does NO good at all to get mad at the vehicle, and things just work out must better with patience. So a little older and a little wiser now, but I realized along time ago at a younger age, patience with a vehicle ALWAYS will pay off, and getting frusterated will NEVER pay off.

| Course another idea with that wheel hotrod, is to flow some solvent in from the back side, loosen the lugs, and do a little CAREFUL drive. |

| I did think of that crab. It is in the backyard on grass, not in the driveway, so I thought about just making a little turn to the left and give it a little gas for about a foot. That ought to break it loose. I figured the worse it might do is break a couple wheel studs and so what. hahaha, I thought is was kind of a dumb idea at first, so I figured I'd try it first, then if it worked I post it. But now Crab and Kenny mention it too, that what I'll do for sure when the time comes.

| if you have one of those small hydraulic jacks use that and a long enough piece of 2x4 or 4x4 between the rear wheel thats fine and the stuck wheel that has its lugs taken off. seen this done once and it worked. |

| I did try a 2x4 and pry off the leaf springs no luck. Really, I am not sweatin it, when I get ready, it WILL come off. My intent was to drive it off when I got ready but that day, I had the other 3 wheels off too. I was taking wheels off to go pick up another trucks. I wouldn't need a donkey if I had Elly May, she's a tough girl, she could get it off with her bare hands.

| Well guys. I bought new calipers. The brake hose peice that hooks up to the caliper goes flat to the caliper or does the other side go? We put two copper washers that came with the calipers on and it didn't leak brake fluid out. We bled the lines (while the truck was not running). Brakes pedal felt a little loose but you pumped it some it would get hard. Cranked up the ole Ford (with Elly May Clampet on my lap HotRod), pushed in the pedal, still loose (but the brake light didn't come on) but I pumped about 2-3 times and the brake pedal got hard. Gave it the gas, pushed in the brake pedal and it stopped but it took a little bit. Reversed, pressed the brakes and it stopped. Floored the gas, pushed the brakes, it stopped but took a little bit. Brakes seems to be ok but the pedal just doesn't feel right. Any ideers? |
