Yeah, get Elly May off your lap so you can pay attention to what you are doing, re bleed the brakes in proper sequence and it should be good to go. You did get the rotors off and turned or replaced?? I sure hope so. I'd sure hate to see Elly May take off in your rig and get hurt if the brakes don't work right.

lol
Does it matter if the truck is running or not, to bleed the lines? Do you pump the brakes 5 times and hold and bleed the lines and then let go of the brakes and move to the next brakes and do the step over? It's RR,RL,FR,FL?

No, I didn't get the rotor turned, they ain't that bad but they have some wear (humps)..
Couldn't get them off!

Thanks for the help.
The brakes seems to work but the pedal still doesn't feel hard but if you pump it like 2x's it will get firm. I guess I'm going to get insurance and a tag on it and carry it to a mechanic and let him look over it and see if he sees anything. If it will cost to much for him to work on something, I will just work on it.

You still have air in the system if you have to pump the pedal to obtain a firm pedal.
Bleeding the brakes is not an easy job, and requires a little patience and a good partner. Let the master run dry and you start all over. Release the pedal before the valve at the bottom is open and you start all over.
Takes a while, but with some patience you can obtain a great pedal.

Here's a little video of us testing the brakes out.

Well, you did not run the truck into a tree, nor did you run the dog over so you have accomplished something.
Now get em so you can lock up the tires.
Adjust the rear and make sure that all of the air is out, and you will have great brakes. Ok truth be known is you will have fair brakes. These trucks never had really awesome brakes, but they will lock up. Use this as a goal. You can get there.

MKAY!

When driving down the highway in the truck since I got insurance on it. Test out the brakes. Everytime I push the brakes, you can hear air in the thing. So I said shoot, I may need a new power brake booster and master cylinder.
So we took of the master cylinder and brake booster out.
Went to Advance Auto Parts. Got a new master cylinder. The power brake booster rod on my old one seemed long than the new and rebuilt ones at Advance. The guy said I could take out the rod and put it in the new one but come back when I done that.

I looked at my booster, the rod can push back in. Here's a picture:

Does the rod suppose to be pushed out that far or in? What kind of booster should got in my truck (rod length)?

It is very very critical you get the right lenght rod. To short and you will run out of pedal way early, to long and you will damage parts and lose your brakes.

Hey 75, you missed the part of video, when he was on his way back, and he dang near flipped the truck swerving to miss the dog since it wouldn't stop.
