What's in it now? I thought all 3 speed manuals were extinct.

There's still some Saginaws out there.

Is it 2wd or 4wd? If you got a 4wd, look for an SM465. Bulletproof, found in many GM trucks, great low gear & older ones were connected to the NP205 transfer case.

If it is 2wd, good luck. The only 4 speeds that are worth anything are $$$$$. It would be cheaper to get a newer 5 speed. But if your loaded or lucky, good 4 speeds are: Muncie M20, M21 & M22, and the Borg Warner Super T-10. Look to spend some cash though. You might be able to scour the junkyards for old 3/4 & 1 ton trucks, a lot of those had granny 4 speeds like the SM465 & SM420.

hahaha, yeah, I know they are out there, but who uses them these days? I don't know of anyone. I know some of the Saginaw 3 speeds are rugged as can be too. They will not die, so certianly there are some around. I was thinking SM465 is best for him, and it shuold be 4x4 since he in the 4x4 forum. Yeah I know, I do it all the time too. I make a Chevy suggestion, then realize I am in the Ford forum.
