Hello all... I am definately what you would call an ametuer to the 4x4 world so if I ask some rediculous questions bear with me... it's all pretty new to me. So I Picked up this 85 Toyota and it's actually somewhat of a rarety I believe. I think it's the only year toyota did the fuel injection with the solid front axle...correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways i got a hella good deal on this little truck and it runs excellent with low miles. It already had a three inch body lift and I threw it up on 33's. It 4 wheels pretty ****** good... but it's a rough ridin mutha on the highway... the leaf springs seem to be almost flattened out as I beleive its on a stock suspension... what do I need to do to help with a smoother ride... the more affordable the better... can't afford to go all out yet... but will get there... any suggestions would help thanks...

do not think that you will ever get a good soft ride out of that. it will never happen. the way the suspension is built, mainly for off road use, makes it rough. does sound like you have a good start for a toy though. welcome to the commmunity.

Thanks for the welcome... I've heard that from a few others as well... no worries though 4x4 were made for the off road rough ride huh?

Heres a pic of my flattened leaf springs... any suggestions? Do I need to lift higher or ???

I have been hunting for one like that for years...... stout little trucks...... We wheeled my buddies for years..... and he still drives it everyday to work.... But, there isn't much of a option for a nicer ride....... If you dislike the ride bad enough, I'll buy it from you
