| You need to clean it up adn weld it, Then put a fishplate over it and weld it, Thats how you make it stringer then it was origionally. I would fish flate the other side while I was there.

| Does it drive? When is the earliest you can get to my shop in Pomona? I can fix that at my house really, but I have larger tools at the shop. This looks like a design flaw. I see a hole that was punched in the piece during the manufacturing process and between the flex and vibrations a crack developed. We will put it back together and weld it smooth, we will fill the hole, and make a couple of fish plates to spread the load and prevent this from happening again. We can make it good. I am rusching around building some other junk now. Have an 1 ton SAS for a 94 Bronco and a full cage that I have to do, but if you get a hole of me, I can make this happen in the morning (friday the 31st.) You will wait for your truck and watch as I work. Wont take too long. You may bring something other than a suit, as you may be crawling under there with me. Might stop at a car wash before you bring it over. KIndly clean the grease and road grime off of the entire are we will be working in. I get a little grumpy when I have to get that dirty. My welding gloves dont like all of the oil. Thats not a bad deal there, we can do it.......... |

| Dammit!!! I hate playing "tag!" I'm kicking myself right now wishing I would have made the time to go online to check this thread! Had I did that, I would have called you and taken the truck over there this morning! Anyway, I can have the truck towed over there, it's not a problem....I've got triple A with 100 mile tows!

| Alright, lets work something out. I am eager to get that thing fixed. If you can have it towed, that would be fine, but you would have to follow the rig, or have another driver. It could be possible that I take some material over to your place and fix it where it sits. I can drag along enough stuf to fabricate just about anything that this job might require. I have to weld together a full cage for a fullsize Bronco tomorrow, and this will be a job. Looks like miles of tubing, gussets and other junk. I will be TIG welding this so it will take a ton of time. I plan on wheeling sunday but perhaps we can work something out during the week. PM me so we can swap contact info and we can share phone numbers so that we dont have to rely on the website for communication. |
