How can I fix this?

Hey what's up everyone!? I'm new to the boards, and I've got a lifted '95 Suburban! (details in sig) Anyway, the rear portion of the engine crossmember (driver's side) cracked on me, causeing the lower A arm to be pushed in and in turn making my driver's side tire pop out from the top and point out. Can the crossmember be welded safely? Or would I have to replace it? I bought the truck used back in '03, and it had the lift already on it. Is this crossmember the stock piece, or is it a replacement piece that came with the lift kit? Here are some pics...

Thanks!

What do you mean beefed up? Like adding some metal to it like a brace (reinforce it), to support it better?

yes if you can , i'am afraid if yo don't beef it up it won't hold , and believe me , murphys law says it will happen at the wrong place at the wrong time .

Being that Murphy's law can really bite you in the rear, what do you think would be the best solution? Have it welded and reinforced? Or buy a replacement piece? Would I be able to yank one off another truck at a wrecking? Or is this a lift kit specific piece? Thanks!

it doesn't look beefie enought to be from a lift kit , i'am thinking a stock piece that was over taxed causing it to break . as for what to do it's up to you BUT you need to do something now or as soon as possible .

Alright kool! Thanks a lot SHD! I've had my truck parked for about 2 years now, so no worries about the dangers of driving it Now to find a good reputable weld shop to get a quote from. If worse comes to worse, I'll probably just save up and buy an actual Procomp piece...it *should* be beefier then the stock piece.

East LA? Thats not to far away...... Reputable shop, I dont know if I qualify, but I am sure that I can weld that up and fabricate a piece that would spread the load, and prevent this from happening again.
Looks as though the lower control arm bolt was loose at some point, ans through numerous suspension cycles, it developed a crack in the x-member.
Worst case, I scenario, is that I fabricate a completely new x-member. That might get spendy, but I am sure I can weld that up without much hassle.
