lift kit/steering problem I just had my 09 silverado lifted at a really shady place. They put a pro comp 6 in lift in. Well my alignment was way off from the day I picked it up, (pulls to the right) instead of going back I went to another place to have it aligned. I know once you go aftermarket things will never be the same, but anyways, even with the new alignment it's still off. Now the truck rides better and you don't have to fight to keep it in the lane but it still pulls to the right and my steering wheel is cocked to the right when you're going straight? Is this normal? I saw the guy when he was working on my truck and when he put it all together he said the right front wheel was out to far and he had to cut more off of i believe the outter tie rod end. So i watched him and he didn't use any type of measurement, he just grinded the $**t out of it and now my truck is pulling on that side. Is it possible he took to much off and thats why it pulls, or is that not even relevant? Thanks for the help! the alignment when that shop did it was: total toe -.09/steer ahead .33 left toe .29/right toe -37 and after today having it aligned again is: total toe .07/steer ahead .02 left toe .05/right toe .02

| what the heck was he grinding off!!! OMG! thats not how an alignment works!!! YIKES! Another thing that can fix stubborn pull can be swapping front tires side to side too, if you wanna give that a try....

If he ground on the tie rod end, I would be taking it somewhere reputable for a new tie rod end. This is dangerous and could cause it to break if he ground on the tie rod end. Maybe you need more wheel offset? I would definately get a second opinion !!!

yea thanks. Is it normal though to have somewhat of a pull, because I know once you go aftermarket nothing is like stock, but I will definately get another opinion, going to 4 wheel parts tomorrow morning and I'm going to call Pro Comp.

a pull is never normal and is always a tell tale sign of misalignment. dont worry about calling ProComp. they are not going to warranty shady work. if they cant seem to correct the problem, which i doubt that i would go back, i believe that i would take it to someone that does know what they are doing and have then start over. hate that for ya bubba.
