BS, they may just be prejudice and not LIKE Edelbrock Carbs, therefore they are not going to work on, or work on it right. If its getting to much gas, the floats may be out of adjustment or a hole in a float, or jets to big. If he knows what he is talking about, he will be able to tell you WHY its getting to much gas. Seems these guys are full of crud. I'd get it out of there. You know at this point, by the time you pay someone labor to bolt on a carb or rebuild it, you can probably go buy one and bolt it on yourself and break even and KNOW for a fact you got a good carb, then put that one on eBay as a core needing a kit. Someone may pay $75-$100 that knows about Edelebrock carbs then whatever it sells for, you are ahead of the game.

Now, I'm not going to take it to a shop. I'll just push that thing under my garage and work on it myself.

Well. Good News and Bad News.

Got my truck home.

Had a friend pull me home. We were pulling and the strap came undone a couple of times in the middle of the highway. Lol. No cops thank God!

Well we bout made it to my house in town. Dogs chasing us. My friend decided to go ahead while a car was coming. I pulled out in front of it and the car stopped. Dogs still barking and chasing us. Car went on and dogs were everywhere.

Saw a cop, he went around the block, I guess trying to catch us. We pulled up in a parking lot next to my house. Me and my friend pushed my truck to my house. Cop decided to help push. Which I am surprised! He asked me where did I pull it from. I told him. He didn't say nothing. I told him thanks. He left. Maybe he won't come back and give me a ticket. Lol

Well friend took me back to my truck. Driving back home the way I took my truck. Saw a dead dog. fresh blood around it.

During that comotion with that car and us, I guess the car hit it and drug it down a little bit.

So...that has been some of my day.

Good News- Got my truck home
Bad News- One death because of it. A dead dog. Hopefully not a ticket too.

Bummer !!! Poor Dog, and probably some unhappy child going to be tonight sad. I am sure it wasn't your fault. The dogs should not have been running the streets. Glad you got your truck. Did the Carb Prejudice dude charge you anything?

I feel like it was kinda lol.

Yeah he charged me $150 for letting it sit there...
KIDDING. lol.

No, he didn't but he told me to come back later if I needed something else.

The truck acted like it wanted to run. It put put a little and put out some fire one time. I kept the gas to the floor and it ran but I had to keep giving it gas.
Blue smoke was coming out too.. It needs to be set.

What??? Are you kidding me??? You tried to pay your friend for helping??? Wow, you need to move to OK. I need a friend like that. All my friends and family, think my gas is free, my tools are free, so if they borrow them and lose them or break them, then I just have to replace them with my dime, and not even offer to pay for it. I just have all the time in the world to stop what I am doing and take care of them for FREE. I believe in the back scratch payback system, but sure as I need a hand, noone is available. If they can't help me out, they can at least pay up a bit so I at least break even. Not like I want to make a profit off friends and family. Glad to hear you got the truck out of jail for FREE. Now maybe when you pass go, you can collect $200.
