you sound like, i ride a bike around all day. and keep my jeep for fun. an old toyota tacoma with 22re engine 4x4 is exaclty what you want. they're a dime a dozen and you cant break the things. and they are very capable stock. with a few small upgrades they become beastly

Hey so thanks for all the input but now for a second question. I found a 1990 toyota 4x4 with original engine and only 84k miles for 3800. I feel its worth it. Anyone agree?

Seemes pretty fair if its in good condition. Just dont expect much power from it and youll be fine

Solid axle Chevies are really cheap to lift and easy to work on. Of your into ford there is one that I know of with an inline 5 standanrd trans and 4x4 for $500 near mobile alabama.
