Thanks!!! It's my baby, well don't let the older MG and Rover know that, they won't start for a month if you do. These trucks are extremely capable offroad stock, what I'm doing is trying to protect some of the body parts and make it look cool. Thanks for liking it, I'm very proud. Next is installing front steel plate bumper/wench and installing a recested wench alittle offset from the hitch (pain in the rear, no pun intended).

That sounds cool. can't wait to see the pics. Is this recessed wench a little offset from the hitch costume or is it a bolt on?

You have to cut out the fwd part of rear bumper, like if you were sitting under looking aft, on which over side you want it on, just clear of the bolts for the towing package. Then you cut out the aft part of the bumper to run the cable thru. You take pipe and weld it around the opening for the cable, to keep it from rubbing on sharp metal edges. Then you take the plate that you cut out of the fwd part of the bumper and weld it back on. You can drill a hole in the aft part of bumper for the remote or you can notch out part of the fwd plate you removed and then run it under the bumper when in use. Most remote cables are long enough that I could run it to the driver's seat and close the rear door it needed in emergency cases. There is alittle more involved to get the wench to fit correctly into the bumper, but I haven't had experience with the slim bumper installation so I don't really know what that entails yet.

Yes, I will post step by step pics of the process. The only bad thing is that it will be a few months. I use all the extra money the husband gets from tax free to upgrade all the vehicles. He won't go out again until January. And, I have to take turns between the Silver, old Rover, and MG. That way no one gets jealous and stops running. HAHA But we are doing a romp this weekend so I will have pics on here of that.

I love that Disco body style. I prefer one from the late 90's though.

I love the diso's also. Very versitile, friendly suvs. I had a '97 when we were in Hawaii that had 210,000 miles on it. Still run great. Had to replace o2 sensers and cats, but it was fun. It smelled like melted crayons though. I think that Ford ruined the concept of the LR3/LR2's. They look like a cross between an Element and an Explorer. And I haven't seen any that are really tough looking. I'm just doing stuff mostly for looks, but also for funtionality. Just installed my new hi-lift jack last night. I know that I still have street tires on it, but they don't slow me down off road, so I'm good for now.

I think the Discos from the late 90's have a simple and functional look to them. I also like how they are laid out underneath. Even though there is not a lot of aftermarket support for them, they are still pretty easy to lift and mod.
