Sorry, I completely faded out your question. The drive shaft angle could be a problem but there is more to it. It might be too weak for the added torque needed to turn those big meats. What gears are you running and what running gear? Do you still have the half ton stuff. If so that is not a big deal depending on how you drive it.

I agree your angles may be way off. Or your equuipment is to weak for what you're asking of it. I had a friend get a lift on a jeep by a off road shop and they never correct the angle so he was blowing out Ujoints like crazy until I told him to check his angle he did it was way off. He adjusted it and now he has not had any more issues with the Ujoints.

DS angle is often over looked my less ecperianced installers. When you change the position of any suspension component you have to change everything else.

The rear axle is angled up a lot. Is it supposed to be pointing strait towards the yoke on the transfer case?

It is hard to tell you what agle it should be at. Usually you can look at it and tell if it is off or not.

it is not supposed to be pointing towards the u joint out of the back of the tranny. that will wear out joints faster than you can shake a stick at. i wish that i could explain it to you but even after his explanation, i still could tell you all what he said. 75k30 had a writeup concerning this very thing and made it sound real good. he was/is our resident off road man.
as for fixes besides readjusting the angle, i cant advise you on. i have heard of indexing plates that help though.

I ran a piece of all thread bolt into the rear yoke held it against a level to make sure it was strait and it comes out about 8 inches above the yoke on the transfer case. I know thats not a real good way of explaining the angle but it's all I could think of.

Use a protractor to get the current angle. Then compare that to the stock angle. That should be in a manuel. Here is something that can help.

CHECKING DRIVESHAFT ANGLES
