What is outlaw country? Just never heard that term before. Perhaps I am a bit sheltered....LOL.

Personally, I am a country fan myself, right from the roots, but lately, I have been hooked on some rock! But it is just a phaze, I will let it go eventually....LOL.

yeah i personally am a southern rock guy at heart, Lynyrd Skynyrd is a religion to me, a way of life. But i go as heavy as bands like Disturbed and Black Stone Cherry sometimes. no rap for me though.

as for outlaw country; well theres all the nashville singers right? brooks n dunn, brad paisley...etc... they are all great. Outlaw country is the singers who refused to jump on the nashville band-wagon and pay the country music industry an amount of their earnings ($). For example: david allan coe, johnny cash, waylon jennings, merle haggard...and of course good ole' hank williams. i dont know if your into classic country junior3382 but if ya are then check out stuf from all these guys! my personal favorites: David Allan Coe-"Long Haired Redneck", Waylon Jennings-"I'm a Ramblin' man", Merle Haggard-"Fightin' Side Of Me", anything Johnny Cash, and of course Hank Williams-"Hey Good Lookin".

That makes sense, did not know there was a difference there! LOL. I agree, not much of a rap guy myself, but lately I have been addicted to Nickelback. Can't get enough, so I can honestly say it is not ALL country for me, but the majority of my cd collection is country. Garth Brooks, Montgomery Gentry, Clint Black, Trisha Yearwood and others. Not much into the classic ones, but I have heard all the songs you listed. LOL. Thanks for the reply.
