| Chip for 22re? I was wondering about getting a chip for a 93 with a 22re. Is this possible, how hard is it to install, is it worth the money, do you really get a lot more power, etc. Any advice or wisdom on the subject would be appreciated. |

| most of the time, all those computer chips do is remove the rev limiter and disable the govenor. Some will revamp the timming, but not all. and that is where the increase is. However, from what I know, the toyotas do not have either a rev limiter or a govenor, so unless it totally remaps the timming and remaps the air/fule mixture, you may not see the difference you are looking for. I would go less expensive and better results with a replacement intake system and a more open flowing exhaust. Allow the moror to breathe better and you will get better power, more acceleration, most of the time better mileage and not to mention it sounds better. Just my thought though.
