 | rough idle and dying i have a 1986 720 2wd auto with a 2.4.it has a rough idle and will die when let off of the gas.it just started that today 2-28-08.what happens if the coils are bad or going bad.thanks |

| rough idle makes me want to say the fuel pump is bad. you can check the fuel filter for clogs. also check you fuel pressure before the engine and see if it has enough pressure. I am positive that it is in the fuel delivery system mainly the pump. hope this helps update on what it was so people with the same issue can use this as a reference. |

| rough idlr and dying had the same problem on a dodge and the gmc i just bought , cleanined the throttle body on both it cured both . take them off to do it , also take off all electrical parts silver hair deere |

| i bought 2 coils for the truck and put them on.the 1 wire was broken inside of the coil so i hope that is the problem.now i have to get another wire.thanks for the help |
