New Member, Help Please, Loud click and vibration from heater fan area.

The fan works correctly except it feels like it vibrates the entire dashboard if you put it on high, but the annoying clicking seems to be coming from the blend door, you can wedge something in the box that sits behind the fan motor and of course the popping stops, but I don't know if this is a good practice since I don't want to burn anything up. It seems like the blend door is trying to open or close and is just stuck in the middle popping. I took apart the inside of the glove box and unplugged the wires from the actuator thinking that if the actuator was bad it would stop the noise, but it made no difference. So I am back to not knowing which part to change.

if i relember correctly it still uses vaccume to operate everything. you may have a pinched line or leak. if its not vacumme then its cable and it could have popped off or just be worn

only thing i can think of is the fan is hit the vent inside box, the vent directs the floor to dash vent controls, also with all the fan box stuff out rewire the the plug been known for melting and causing shorts and sometimes fires

also to me sounds like ur box maybe broke, reson for vibration and clicking noise

i highly doubt anything is broken. open it up and see what has fallen in there. something is probebly stuck in the fan blades (leaf, mouse--i had one in mine , a twig, grass, pine needles etc. it's really not a bad job to get at it.
