cr977 is on a distinguished road
new truck

i have a car right now and i am looking to get a truck, i was wondering what would be my best option. i am going to use this truck as my daily, but i am also going to hit some trails a few times a month. seeing gas prices i have decided only 4 and small 6 cylinders. i am looking to do some mods but nothing that will compromise its drivability. what do you think i should get? i have looked at jeep YJs with the 2.5 and small pickups like rangers s10s and toyota pickups. i like the jeep the most but im not sure if it would be a good daily. it must be reliable and it must get reasonable gas mileage.

Welcome to the club I would say don't buy something under powered or else you will have to get lower gears to have enough power.

usmceric1 will become famous soon enough
Ummm I would pick a Toyota Tacoma 2001-2004 standard with a 3.4L. The engines are bulletproof and get decent mileage. One of the most reliable packages out there and easy to mod up.
