hey

hi im kinda new here just found this section im a painter at a local high end dealership in my hometown ya know benzs and that stuff ya its pain sometimes but anyhoo im alucky one get to do what i enjoy for a livin i have 2 trucks at the time my 95 gmc 1/2 ton and my 95 f-150 dont no how i got 2 95s it just kinda happend bought the gmc when i was 18 now 25 an inheirted the ford from my grandad just over 1 year ago if anyone has any paint related ?s feel free to ask thats my strong point look foward to talking to u all

Hmmm. Paint related questions. Is it just myth, or do love bugs actually eat away your paint?

that is no myth they cna play heck on paint they and bird poo an most other bugs have acid in them that will burn the paint and eteh it keep a good coat of wax on an wash regulary an u will be fine

Ok here's mine is it true to wait a few months before you wax your car after a paint job I heard this from some guy that said that at some big times car show on TV I think he's the brains behind all of Mothers products? Also have your used dry ice to remove a dent?

depending on the paint companies tds (technical data sheet ) u may or may not wax before or after 6 mo after fresh paint were spraying standox at the shop an painted a allover volvo on a tuesday an waxed it on friday i have heard of using a heat gun and dry ice to pop a ding out but never seen it done or have i done it we have a local pdr guy an hes d*#n good he uses lights an poles to see the dings an picks and rods to pick an peck them out seen him do a black altima hail job last year aluminum hood and deck lid i didnt have to paint a thing on it

I seen that done as well I was amazed with what they can do in bringing dents out it can even be a big dent we learn something everyday if not it's a wasted day.
