hydrogen to supplement fuel

Recently on the Radio it was announced truckers are now using hydrogen to supplement fuel and gaining a 40-50% increase in MPG. Any truckers who are using this I'd like to know what you have to say before I go ahead with it. Is it too good to be true?

Run A Truck On Water?

Well, I posted a question a couple weeks back on - should I do ahead and put a hydrogen generator in my car as was announced on Radio. I was anxious to go ahead - but I took the chance as it seemed only too good to be true. I got the name removed by mod and it worked! It not only worked it knocked my emissions way down, cooled the engine and booted my MPG by 25%. I then learnt that a guy put a "six pack" in his semi AND got the same result!
My question then is:
Why are we not much more advanced in using hydrogen (from water - H2O) as a free energy source? We could run all our cars, trucks, planes do welding, etc etc etc you name it. We already send rockets to the moon using hydrogen. We are polluting our planet, the air we breath every day by not doing so. Why are we so worried about oil? We don't need it. The by-product of hydrogen combustion is water. I want to go green with anger at the misinformation spread around that "you cannot get hydrogen from water" we can and have been doing so for a century or more. Oil is a pain in the gas. Is it such a cultural lag for everyone to catch on?

You know what is really funny, on another site you say you have been using it for several weeks, yet you come here as if you really wanted information. Now why should I not believe you work for the company trying to promote talk about your product.

So here is what I think. I think since you can't even sell a unit, but instead sell the plans for it, I say you are the homeopathic sales man of the automotive world.. full of ****, nothing but water but it gives some people a good placebo feeling.

If I were to put together some kind of device that is going to turn water into the highly flammable hydrogen (remember the Hindenburg?) and believe that it is really going to work, I would want it professionally engineered, not with the possibility of me using some cracked mason jar and having my car light up in flames of glory. Then having my insurance company laughing at me when I tell them why and expect them to compensate me.

Clearly I can also see what a great seller and profit this as been since you can't even get the funds to get a website to work in both IE and firefox as you state on the top and shows just the lack of professional programming by just the sheer size of the first page (reminds me of my first web page I designed when I was 16 and the internet was access via a 1200 baud modem). Maybe if you gave yourself a professional store front then people might take you seriously because right now it looks like you are selling the designs to make moonshine.

So tell me, why should I not just assume you came here to spam our forum in I must say.. a sneaky way

The answer to your question can be summed up in one word. MONEY. If you were the head of the oil companies make untold BILLIONS.... would you want everyone to simply stop using your product? Greed really runs this country. With the same line of reasoning we could have stopped global warming decades ago, but there was not profit in it. We could have solved a lot of problems actually, and even prevented a ton of diseases, but people as a whole are selfish and looking for a profit, and there is no money in being smart, energy efficient and clean. So it will be a long long time before we ever see a change like that. Just how I see it, thought I know it is a little cynical.

These snake-oil salesmen prey on people who are otherwise smart and fully in posession of common sense but for whatever reason never took high school physics or chemistry. If you don't want to learn about the second law of thermodynamics, I'll sum it up for you with this: There is no free lunch.
