| On my truck, the switch is buggered and it blows fuses on both my signals & tail lights. If I smack the switch, it stops grounding out for the signals. But my tail lights are done. I have to pull my wheel to replace the switch, will be doing that tomorrow or Saturday.

| On mind its only the tail light that don't work and also my dash board lights but its probably because its on the same fuse. What do you mean when you say that you have to take off the wheel to change the switch. Do you mean the steering wheel?? |

| If the B4000 switches are the same as the B2200, and attached to the steering column then yes, you have to remove the steering wheel, to replace the switch, because the entire piece, has to be replaced, you can't just replace the switch. I pulled my wheel today, and replaced the switch, I have turn signals, and high beams again, but my dash lights & tail lights are still blowing fuses. So now I have to go and find the break in the harness.... OH GOODY...

| mmmm it gets better & better... Now I have developed the same issue as you. Hit the brakes & the left turn signal (dash light) comes on, and left signal doens't work. Front & Rear signals are steady on, no flash. I have found LOTS of breaks and frays and etc. etc. I have to replace the entire tail light harness, now I have to wait for Pick-a-part to get some more donor trucks, they have 4 as of current, and they all have been picked clean. I also ran over a stick today, that put a 1/2" hole in my tire. Damm chunk of wood, never would have guessed a chunk of wood could pierce a tire. I'll have to see if I can find the chunk and take a picture.

| oh no that sucks fordin mazda. I took off my switch this weekend and found that there was a whole lot of **** that was built up in there so took it off and cleaned everything and there was also a wire barely connected so I reconnected. I don't know if it was the real problem but my lights are not blowing fuses anymore. One problem solved but I still have the problem with my flasher lights that come on when I press the brake. I'll check that when I have two minutes this week but I think that it is probably the plug under my truck that is rusted out or something like that but I hope I won't have to go through the whole wire harness like you did. I'll keep you informed. |

| I found my problem youppi!!! It was the damd trailer harness. I cut off all the wires that related my conversion box to my lights and everything came back ok. So I will have to buy another conversion box and replug them. I'm happy it was just that. Keep me informed of your problem. Thanks for everything. |

| Found my problem: The exhaust system was mickey moused (like other stuff on the truck) the tail pipe is too short, the muffler is off who knows what... Anyways, the tail pipe was up at the bottom of the box, and melted all the wires where they cross the frame causing the short. from the state the area melted was, I surprised I had any lights... Now I have to fix my exhaust as well....

| Check the bulbs, fuses and especially your wirings. Try to look at the lights switches too. Some mazda oem parts have problems so don't worry too much about that. Last edited by mudseeker; 10-24-2008 at 04:07 AM. Reason: remove link |
