| 351 freeze plugs I got one freeze plug that just wont stay in, I've replaced it numerous of times and still it pops out. Can I put JB Weld around it and weld it in place or is that just stupid? |

| There are a couple options out there for a freeze plug that you tighten a screw on to expand it in the hole. |

| I couldn`t find them but ford had a recall on the taurus in the late 90`s and they installed a freeze plug that had an '0' ring on it that can`t come out.. the freeze plug looked like a block heater without the element. |

| I know when I get a lot of play or a loose fit on some part that is supossed to be pressed in I take a punch and go all the way around the inside diameter and tap it. what it does is kinda distort the surface and make it "grab" the "freeze plug" in this case. I usually have to use this trick with ballbearings and races on motorcycle parts. you could also try it with the freeze plug itself and "tap" it out so it fits way tighter in the hole. just and Idea but do what you must to get the truck back on the road

| You'll have to let us know what he does to get it to work. I am glad you didn't go with the JB weld, that would have ruined the block if something ever happened and you had to replace that plug.
