 | need help i have a 81 dodge d150. put new timing chain, distribeter, rotor, and spark plugs.turns over sonds like it wants to start but doesn't. any clues. |

| Sounds like the timing is retarded ,try advancing it a little to get it started then use a timing light to set it. |

 | yea sounds like timing and I didnt see a new coil on your list on new stuff dont skimp there if you changed out everything else

| Don't the 81's still have the resistor in the ignition system? they were always a pain |

| I think the reisitor went out in 74..
