Talking Well i'm a new member after lurking for awhile

I'm "Cookie" anyone that understands the fire service will know a thing or 2 about nick names...anyway...i'm cookie i just traded a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7l 2wd reg cab short bed for a 2005 GMC Ext cab Z71 with 12000 miles on it...i'm ready to learn alot about my truck i've never had anything this nice before so i'm stoked....i only have one question for now....i had dual 40 series flowmasters on my dodge...i don't want to sound that aggresive with the new truck but i want some "growl" kinna...anyways any ideas would be appreciated thanks in advance guys...

How-deeeee cookie.. fire service eh? Will you please come put out these fires in Northern California the smoke is horrible, looks like a thick fog.

For the exhaust question, you may be better off starting a new thread in general truck to get all opinions, personally I love flowmasters, we had them on both our mustangs.

Since you liked the sound of the flowmaster, perhaps you should consider that again, only in a single configuration instead of the duals.
Should provide the sound you are looking for wothout the excessive decibels

welcome dude, got some truck pics? ima dynomax fan myself, i hated my 50 series flowmaster, interior resonance was too much!! junked it for ultra-flow welded race (dynomax), but thats probly to loud for what you want! hehe

i do have pics!!....its kind of a little to stock for me irght now...some really minor changes for me comin up...torsion keys, rear blocks, exhaust, window tint, tires....thats about it...anyway to the pics









and just to prove that i have built a truck up with mods and know what i'm doin...





its a 1996 Chevy Z71 4inch suspension, 3 inch body, 40 inch denman gumbo mudders, flowmaser exhaust, K&N intake, 2 12inch JBL subs with a 500 watt Kicker Comp amp...and some other stuff

Both are good looking trucks, but just for the record, and I might be getting a little picky, but "gumbo mudders" were actually called "gumbo monster mudders" and were made by "gateway". Denman tires in that tread design were called "Ground Hawgs".
While the mudders are no longer in production, the hawgs are.
