99 gmc wiring harness replace

I have a 99 gmc sierra 5.3 automatic z71 that Ive owned for about 2 years now. While on my way from north carolina to florida in january my truck caught on fire due to a failed transmission line. my shroud,air raid intake and accessories took most of the damage but most of my harness has burn spots in it and Im going to have it replaced. Does neone know how much of a pain it is to replace the harness in one of these trucks? Are there seperate sections of the harness, especially where it routes into the cab? Im currently in iraq and need the truck running upon my return so it will be taken to family friends shop to have it done.

Ive considered just letting the truck go but I have alot invested into it, it currently boast a full exhaust, 6inch procomp lift, tci converter, 35 mud terrains, CAI, true trac rear, and its a factory 4.10 truck.

if you only have to swap the harness under the hood it should be a pretty straight forward job. One good thing about GM is they hardly ever use 2 plugs that are the same design. Almost everything has a different configuration so you wont miss plug something..

as for seperate sections I don't know.
