| OK, I checked codes again, and I have the MT1 and the G80, along with the C6P. Almost all of the options on this truck are only available on the Silverado model, yet this is a C. Could people custom order stuff? I have the chrome trim around the wheels, the Silverado Highback buckets with lumbar adjustments, the color coded carpet interior thingy, the high end stereo, everything but the fancy rear vew mirror, and the electronics in the roof console. I have the remote adjustable mirrors, etc. I downloaded a 1998 Chevy truck buyers guide and it says none of this stuff was available on a Cheyenne. Any clues?

| The truck says 8600. Isn't there an RPO for Siverado? It has the C6P, GT4, G80 codes. There are no badges other than the bowtie in front and 2500 on the side.

| OK, I FINALLY found the answer..... Definitive Answer? Check the RPO Codes... Z84 - Cheyenne YE9 - Silverado In 1998, Silverado was an option package. A Silverado has most of the "luxury options" A/C, pw, pdl, etc. and a little more "bling" like chrome trim around the wheel wells. A Cheyenne could be ordered with most of the Silverado - package options, it would just cost you a lot more... Hat tip to hydeng at Chevrolet forum.
