"Free" tools?

Ever find a free tool in a used car?

I replaced the PCV valve on my wife's car today and found a 10mm 1/4" socket under the fuel rail cover.

I think my best find was a big set of wire cutters stamped "Property of Southern Bell" inside the fender of our old Cherokee.

found some tools under the hood after taking cars to the local mechanic before i started doing my own work.

i used to love to go change diving whenever my brother would get a "new" car.

We found a retainer (you know for your TEETH!) in my mustang... and I had that car for approx 10 years and no one I knew had a retainer, it was under the center console.

However when we bought this house we found random tools and a shovel out in the pasture.

Ohh hubby did find SHAG CARPET in his mustang... but I don't think it was anything someone was transporting temporarily.

Let me think back to my teenage years...what thing did we used to do in cars that would require taking out a retainer...hmm...dental hygiene...nope...hmm...Ahh! Of course! Band practice! That's it! Kids would always take them out before practice. /wink

I did loan my car ('76 Grand Prix) to my brother once and he returned it with footprints on the inside of the windshield. The mind boggles...
