02 sensor

i have a 98 dodge ram and was just wondering if there are any symptoms when a o2 sensor is gone my truck sort of bogs when going slow or just pressing lightly on the gas peddle while driving sometimes coughs out the breather but if you step on it works fine also got the 02 sensor code left bank sensor 2 so is that another problem too

Well, welcome to the site...
If the ECU threw the O2 sensor code, then I would think it is a fair bet they need to be replaced. However, remember that when the O2 fails, it is usually a symtom of a larger problem, wither EGR is allowing it to run rich, or MAP is forcing it to run lean, or extended moisture in the fuel etc. Replace the O2's and see if that solves it for ya.

I have the same problem going on with my 04, they should be almost the same layout. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the first sensor on the driver side before the cat. the bank 1 sensor 2 is the first one after the cat. But mine was throwing wrong codes and come to find out the whole cat is not holding oxygen and i gotta replace cat and all the sensors.... hope yours is really just the sensor.

do you know what the code number was? knowing whether it is a * lean or rich condition will help solve the problem (* low circuit voltage or high circuit voltage. the o2 sensor code could also be for lazy sensor ( slow response).
junior is correct in saying that an o2 sensor code is usually a sign of a bigger problem.

that code is for high voltage, which means your sensor thinks there's a rich condition.
