| torsion key questions i have a stock 2005 sierra z71...will the stock torsion keys adjust to lift the front end or do i HAVE to buy new keys?? also will i have to get a front end alignment after the "lift"?? how do i go about doing such lift?? |

| yeah you can get about 1 1/2 inch lift by adjusting them but not how you want to lift your truck. if i had your truck i would go out and get a 6 inch sysp. lift and call it done with 33's or 35's. but if you adjust those torsion keys only you will be replacing bearings and knuckes and putting you axles in a bind. wearing out all your parts really fast.

| they make leveling kits for your application. like chevy said, it would not be wise to mess around with your torsion keys as this affects vertical travel. yes, you will need an alignment after adjusting the front end. |

| Anytime you make a performance adjustment to the front end of an IFS systems, you will need to take it in immediately for an allignment. Make sure you let them know what you did and why, so that they do not simply reverse it to adjust the allignment.

| i put a key lift in my truck i think im gonna pay for it now. do it right the first time. look at my post under shake at 55 in gmc trucks.
