o2 sensor GMC vandura 3500

I would like to know does anybody know where the o2 sensor is at on the engine. I see one in the exhaust at the end of the y pipe, but nowhere else.

Depending upon the MY you may have one, two, three, or four O2 sensors.

They are always on the exhaust. There will be one before the cat. There may be one on each mainfold's output before the cats. There may be a third one after the cat. And in dual exhaust applications one before each cat and after each cat.

What model year is your 1-ton?

Hi thanks for the reply. It is a 1995 I saw a single wired one at the end of the y pipe, thats the only one I saw. I went to Autozone and they gave me a 3 wired one but I dont see any place on the engine or exhaust for it. Thanks!

the good news here is that you can take back the $65 3 wired one and get the correct $20 1 wire sensor that you need.
