Transmission lines in 1988 GMC S15 shortbed

I recently bought a 1988 GMC shortbed. I'm adding transmission fluid every few days, and I've already had to replace the starter. My brother told me that this is because the transmission lines are hooked up wrong, and fluid is leaking onto the starter.

Is there a place I can lookup how the lines are supposed to be, so I can fix them?

Thanks

every easy to do the top line of the rad. is the top line on the tranny and the bottom line on the rad. is the bottomline of the tranny.

i would be willing to bet the lines are in the right place. your problem is probably due to a leaky connection at the Rad. and the fluid is traveling down to the starter due to gravity.

that mud or a cracked line some where. easy way to find out is let it build up pressure and wipe everything off and look for leaks

although they are flared you might need a good grade of pipe dope on the fittings(NOT TEFLON TAPE) if they are leaking toseal the threads
