In the other forums, the horse side has adult only, members have to be "Senior Members" and 18 or older HOWEVER it is not that type of adult.. no dirty jokes or inappropriate pics/talk, just private like Mud explained. The dog side has a senior member + section for members that have the "Senior Member +" status.

Okay mud, I see what you mean, sounds like a good idea to me. And I did not know that about the spammers... then perhaps instead of a 72 hour rule, it should be like after ten posts on other threads or something. I mean maybe it is just me, but it gets anoying after a while to open a thread and see some advertisment for a new type of cat spray or something....LOL.... Just thought there might be a way to cut down on it. However, if we still only see a small handful, then I guess I can over look it.

Without moderating each thread which requires moderator intervention for each one, some will slip through. The best thing to do is use the "Report a Post" feature to notify the first mod that gets on.

there's been a few threads already about how to deal with spammers (mostly made by me), i've learned to just look past them and just click the report a post icon when needed.

no one else wants to Chime about the new forum section?

just a quick side note: the new section, if created, is not meant to discourage new or full members from posting, just a way of keeping certain discussions out of the publics eye.

makes sense, they want to taste the forbidden fruit, so they try to reach the senior level. could be a good thing for the forum.

i dunno about the 72 hrs thing....that'll turn alot of potential new members away. if they wanna join to ask a question, then decide to stay. but if they've gotta wait 3 days before they can ask, they probably wont join to start with.... or they'll just hi-jack another thread. also, do you think its possible that one of our more active members could be upgraded to an admin or a moderator? yall do a good job but theres several of us on here quite frequently and it'd be nice for on of us to be able to handle issues that may arise without having to report it and wait for someone to come check it out
