I saw a UFO this morning @ 4:00 A.M.

I was outside having a smoke when I noticed a light like a plane towards the Gulf of Mexico that was traveling towards the east then it stopped and started traveling north super fast then it stopped and started going around at a super high rate of speed then it would dash in a straight line and stop one time it looked as if it was lower because I could more lights on it the shape was oblong in shape then it shot right above me and stopped at that point I went inside and bought my son outside he saw it as well but it was traveling away from us going south at a slow rate of speed nothing like when I saw it zipping around and around I live five miles from NASA Space Center I thought that Ellington Air Force base would have picked it up on radar but I saw no jets in the area. I would sure like to talk to someone about this?
This is the letter I sent to some UFO sight. It was weird it couldn't have been something from this world the speed of it was unreal well I was reading other sightings and here in Texas among other states people have seen the same thing.

National UFO Reporting Center Read this like I said im not the only person that has seen this.

What was in this smoke you had? I am guessing not tobacco! LOL....

You know I have read that the United States Air Force does late night testing of all kinds of new technology, and being as far aways as it was, perhaps it is a new toy, or weapon they were testing. I mean UFO simply means UNIDENTIFIED flying object. We all know that our government keeps secrets from us, perhaps this is just another one of those.... Just my opinion though.

I was kidding about the ciggarette bud, you know that.... I just personally feel that with as secretive as our governement is that most of the sightings we see have an explaination behind it. Perhpas I am just cynical like that.... I did not mean to bring you down... so please do not take it that way.

I've seen similar lights off the Gulf coast too. I was in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida at the time. Ft. Walton Beach is also home to Eglin AFB. I don't think what I saw was from outer space. I think it was something testing or training out of Eglin. But I've been an aviation buff for many years and the rapid acceleration/deceleration was unlike any aircraft I've seen by daylight. On the same trip I saw a helicopter carrying a snark by its parachute too. I wasn't the only one on the beach and I wasn't the only one to see the lights. I was, however, the only one that thought the change in direction was noteworthy.

z07 I was ******** out on how fast this thing would travel at one point when it was going round & round I was getting dizzy then it would just stop and go in a staight line what was more scarey when it was right over my head and started to lower thats when I seen the shape and more lights but from the beginning I thought it was a plane till it stopped and started coming towards me super fast I have never seen anything like this and it couldn't have been no spot light bacuse it looked like a shooting star but one doesn't move like this one did im still freaked about it like I wrote down I have seen a jet hauling from Ellington air force base they had nothing on this thing im going to start to take out my cam corder maybe there will be another I doubt it but one never knows.

The eyes can play tricks at night with lights, I remember not to long ago a lot of people swore there was a UFO sighting, the news even got involved. It turned out to be some kind of candles in boxes that were tied to balloons, I think it was a Chinese ceremony thing.
There was also some people that claimed there was another another UFO that traveled fast but made no sound. I believe they also said it maneuvered like no other. It turned out to be a squadron of jets dropping flares. Of course this was also on the news.

Although what you saw was a Unidentified Flying Object because you could not identify it, I think your eyes were playing tricks on you as far as speed and such, happens all the time.

I understand that extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, Moostang. So imagine that you’ve seen something flying that you can’t identify because it’s too far off to even see anything but its lights. But it moves strangely enough that you take notice of it. What I saw wasn’t moving very fast. There were no sonic booms. But the change in direction was spectacular. Then imagine that you go out to the beach in the pre-dawn hours to see the sunrise and it’s overcast on the last day of your vacation so there are no stars to look at and the sunrise isn’t spectacular because the low clouds make it seem like the sky just slowly got lighter. Then you see a helicopter about two miles away flying low and carrying something underneath. As it gets closer you can see it looks like a Black Hawk. (Its landing gear are wheels and it has a refueling probe.) So it’s easy to spot as a Black Hawk. But as it gets closer you see that it has USAF markings on it so you know it’s not a Black Hawk but rather its Air Force counterpart, the Pave Hawk. Hanging by its door wench you see a grappling hook in a parachute. And the parachute is holding a UAV. The UAV looks like a ½ scale model of a Mig 15. So I have no proof for you, Moostang. But I reckon that the lights I saw were either a UAV or a chase plane following a UAV in some test. It was certainly not a weather-ballon reflecting the Moon's light off swamp gas or Chinese candles or anti-IR missle flares.
