5.3 chevy 2002-2004 I am building a 1971 station wagon, I want to put a 5.3 chevy out of a tahoe/truck. I want about a 400hp motor that is easily street driven. and occasionally track driven. does anyone have a good web site for 5.3 builds? thanks, woody

are you wanting to use a 5.3 because that what you have or for some other reason. i believe you are going to find that the 5.3 is going to eat your lunch cost wise vs a good solid 350 with EFI. what exactly are you wanting out of the 400hp?? fuel economy with ability of smoking people off of the line??

The LS engine is a great engine, but why make it hard on yourself? 400 hp is obtainable, but can be a whole lot easier with more than 323 cubic inches. If you do not have an engine already, why not find a 6.0L? You can even buy an LS2 completely assembled crate engine fro GM performance parts. The LS2 makes 410 hp right out of the box! Pretty sweet for the money.
