Another BBC Question (Mounts)

Well if you've read my other threads, I'm putting a 402 into my 1984 K10. I found out that you can't get this year truck with a BBC. What should I do for motor mounts? Any help is appreaciated. Thanks.

BBc's and SBC's have the same mounts. There is only one difference between the two. One has a taller mount than the other. The taller mount is used for greater oil pan clearance.. Depending on the pan that you have, you might get away with the short style bucket.
Could help yourself out a little and leave the existing brackets on the frame and use a solid mount for the driver side. This keeps the driver side mount from breaking during heavy off road use.
Chevy mounts are the easiest, so do not sweat it. Buying the tallest mounts will prevent you from buying two sets.

The mounts are readily available at any auto parts store too.

Well you're saying that I can just use the brackets that are used for the 305 that's in it right now?

If you are talking about the steel part that bolts down to the crossmember, then yes.
You can stick a fire breathing 572" crate motor on those same mounts.
There are different ones available, but those will work. Just need to get a set of motor mounts. They look like these;

yeah, you can drop the BBC on the small block mounts. but, be advised if the rubbers are worn and loose, the oil pan can hit the crossmember. other then that, it will drop in.
