| Check your fuel delivery. Change Filter. Maybe your pump is going bad and it takes a few minutes to loosen up a little and provide nominal flow.

| First off Semper Fi devil dog 1992-1996 Secondly , it really screams EGR or vacuum leak to me. Try tohe old carb cleaner around in the engine compartment when its running and see if the idle speed changes.

| Glad you posted that back and that it's fixed. Did you find damage in wires or just take a blind shot and get lucky ? |

| crabtruck >> it was a process of elimination & the plug wires had never been changed ( I am original owner ) .......... now my problem is trying to get tailgate cables off ( both broke) the rivet seems to need to be either cut with a dremmel or drilled out cant get off ( rivet holds cable to tailgat).. any experience with this ? thanks

| As is pretty common, both of my k1500 cables are snapped. Luckily, for whenever I finally get to them, they are torx not rivet. From what I've heard, drilling out the rivets and going back with screws is the norm, and not that hard. Couple folks on here have done it for sure. |
