| Well, I finally found a good set of rally wheels for my truck. I was wondering though... if I have 15 X 7 rims right now, can I use the same tires on my new 15 X 8 rally wheels? Is it possible to "stretch" tires a whole inch in width? |

| yes but it will not look right at all, it would look like your riding on pizza cutters. the tread would be alot narrower than the side wall. I DO NOT RECOMMEND at all man.

| ...that's what I was afraid to hear. However, if it will work, I am totally going to do it. Next time I need new tires, I'll just get some wider ones (or maybe when I get my christmas bonus, haha). I just couldn't pass up a good set of rally wheels for $16.00. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...155239780&rd=1 Plus, I decided to use some Chevy astro hubcaps instead of the Silverado ones. I think it'll look way better. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...164151255&rd=1 I'll upload some pics when I finish the install. Hopefully the end of next week. BTW, I am going to paint the rims black, I'm not going to leave them grey. |

| mmmmmmmmmmm uuuuuuuuuuuuuuh those arent really rally wheels, they were and are basic steel rims for bottom line 1/2 ton trucks and 3/4 ton above normal wheels unless you pay for aluminum, my truck came with them and it was a fully loaded 3/4 ton truck i thought on your other post you were looking for "silverado" rally wheels as they were called. looking foward to see yur truck though.

| A rally wheel is any steel rim with a beauty ring and a fancy center cap. It doesn't really matter what the design of the wheel is. I just want something different than everybody else. Everyone has factory aluminum wheels, which is what my truck has. However, nobody around has got black rally wheels with Chevy astro center caps. I don't care what a rally wheel is supposed to be, I just care how the final product looks. |

Your current tires will work fine on them. You should have 225 or 235 on it now. it just makes the tire look a tad wider. Dont try going to a 10 inch wide or anything stupid like that. But your stock tires will work just fine on those wheels and look nice in the process. i caution you though. kmake sure they are 15x8 most of those are 15X7. it is stamped on the wheel..

| First of all, I love the acronym! The wheels I have on my truck right now are the stock aluminum ones which are 15 X 7, so it shouldn't look any different if they are 15 X 7's and not 15 X 8's. |

| thats cool, post a pic when u get it complete, but if a spare tire rim no matter what the size is is steel, does that make it a rally wheel, even if its a DOH!!nut? mmmmmm no. yes the acronym is funny

| If it were me and seeing you live in MI, I would buy new fatter tires for the rims and keep the old set for winter driving. Fat tires in the snow aren't worth a **** and road salt eats up plain wheels and rims. |
